Centenarian celebrated at Tel Hai

Honey Brook Twp, PA—Tel Hai resident, Charlotte Smith celebrated her 100th birthday on Thursday, October 11 surrounded by family and friends. Born in Chicago, IL, Mrs. Smith graduated from DePauw University in 1933 with a major in botany. Charlotte married Perrin Smith that same year. They relocated to Chester County in 1948 and became the parents of one son, Randolph.

During her celebration Mrs. Smith received a citation marking the event from State Representative, Timothy Hennessey and was joined by her niece, a grandniece, as well as her nephew and his wife. Charlotte joined the Tel Hai community as a member of the Meadows health care center in 2011.
