PA Preferred® hosted a booth at the Pennsylvania Farm Show to educate attendees on the economic impact and benefits of purchasing food and products made in Pennsylvania. Visitors were able to speak with PA Preferred experts on what it means to buy local, specifically how it impacts Pennsylvania communities and the state.

Visitors were also invited to explore what PA Preferred members have to offer – from food, dairy, agriculture and nursery products to home goods like hardwood and Christmas trees.

The PA Preferred booth also hosted the “PA Preferred Pledge,” a symbolic effort to encourage visitors to become more conscious in identifying and buying PA Preferred member products. By signing the pledge, individuals committed to start or continue to support Pennsylvania’s agriculture economy – whether at the local farmers market, grocery store, retail outlet or restaurant. We also invited our young visitors to sign the pledge, as part of our educational activities designed for the Farm Show Detective Program. Filled with signatures, the “PA Preferred Pledge” will be displayed at a prominent location following the Farm Show.
