PA Strikers Softball Team Wins USSSA Tournament

The PA Strikers U12 Fast Pitch Softball Team recently won the USSSA WintersWhite Out Tournament in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. The two-day tournament was held on February 16 and 17 in the Wyoming Valley Sports Done in Wilkes Barre. the first day of the tournament, the Strikers defeated the SJ Gators 14-2 and The Redbirds 5-1. On the final day of the tournament the Strikers defeated the Redbirds once again 9-0, and then defeated therunner-up, SCC S.W.A.T., 5-3 in the Championship game. The Strikers, which include Twin Valley stdsents Grace Marsalo, Sarah Clinton, and Riley Brownbrought both their top offensive anddefensive games to the tournament, as the team produced an impressive 33 runs collectively over the fourgames and allowed just six runs against.

The PA Strikers have played in various “Round Robin” tournaments this fall and now have a record of 23-0-1.

The team of 12 year olds will compete this Spring/Summer in 12 Tournaments between the months of April and
