  • Patriot photo by Roxanne Richardson Roy F. Gehris recieved the Patriot Award at Brandywine Heights' Veterans Day Program on Nov. 9. He joined the Marines right after graduation in 1960. Having served a number of locations including Japan, Gehris was sent to Vietnam where he served as an aircraft mechanic with the Marine Fighter Attack Squadron. He worked on Phantom Jets.
