DOUGLASS (Mont.) — A Pottstown man was charged with felony kidnapping and burglary after he allegedly took a woman from her Douglass (Mont.) residence against her will when she was in a state of undress, according to the arrest affidavit.
Clinton Bernard Brown, 21, of 743 Walnut St., Pottstown, allegedly took the victim from a residence in the 100 block of Swamp Creek Road early on June 3 after he entered the property and residence without permission, according to the arrest affidavit filed by Douglass (Mont.) police.
Brown allegedly became “argumentative and displayed violent and tumultuous behavior” with people on the property and took hold of the female victim and removed her from the residence “unwontedly while she was in a state of undress.”
The victim told police Brown attempted to contact her and another person via cell phone more than 30 times and his communications were “harassing in nature and also physically threatening.”
Brown was arrested and charged with kidnapping, burglary and counts of criminal trespass, unlawful restraint, terroristic threats, false imprisonment, reckless endangerment, simple assault, harassment, public drunkenness and other offenses.
Police said Brown displayed signs of intoxication and vomited in the rear of the patrol car when he was taken into custody.
Brown was sent to county prison after he was arraigned by District Judge Maurice H. Saylor and his bail was set at $150,000 cash. Brown is expected to have his preliminary hearing before Saylor today at 10 a.m.
