Hospice of Lancaster County is seeking donated items for its 28th Annual Labor Day Auction, Saturday, Sept. 1 and Monday, September 3. Throughout the summer, Hospice of Lancaster County will welcome donations of sports memorabilia, collectibles, Amish handcrafted items, quilts, artwork and household items.
All donated items must be in good working condition, gently used or new. Used cars and trucks are also welcome. Vehicles for consideration must be in good running condition, with up-to-date paperwork including a clear title, registration and inspection.
Items that can not be accepted include books, records, mattresses, pillows, large appliances, electronics, clothing and stuffed animals. Pick up of items is not provided and all donations will be acknowledged with a tax-deductible receipt.

Hospice of Lancaster County’s Annual Labor Day Auction is one of Pennsylvania’s premier benefit sales. Last year, it generated more than $395,000 to benefit quality care for Hospice of Lancaster County patients and families coping with serious illness, end of life and bereavement. The Labor Day Auction will be held at the Lampeter Fairgrounds, Lampeter, on Saturday, Sept. 1, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. and Monday, Sept. 3, 8:30 a.m.– 6 p.m. Thousands of items will be auctioned simultaneously in multiple arenas each day.
