Honors and scholarships for local grad

Richard Doll, an 18-year old musician and recent National Honor Society graduate of Garden Spot High School, having earned a Distinguished Graduation Project, has recently received the following honors and scholarships: The United States President’s Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence (with a letter from The White House, for having shown a commitment to the highest academic standards); the LLMEA Band Award; the Garden Spot High School Band Booster Scholarship; the Penn State University Academic Scholarship and the Penn State University Music Performance Award Scholarship.

Richard plans to attend Penn State University, Main Campus, for Music Education, Fall 2012. Richard is a percussionist, violinist and pianist and the son of John and Patricia Doll of Bowmansville, PA.
