Honey Brook, PA—Parents of young children eager to find bargains as they prepare for the new school year will not want to miss the 8th Annual Children’s Outgrown Sale at Tel Hai. The event will be held on the community’s campus located off Beaver Dam Road, east of Route 10 on Saturday August 4 from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM. The public is welcome to take advantage of a wide selection of high quality items at low prices. As a bonus, during the last two hours of the event consignors will offer a “super sale” with prices discounted 50% on selected items.

The consignment sale will offer almost everything you seek relating to children, teens or maternity—with few exceptions. Car seats, items affected by product recalls or those containing lead or lead-based paint are not to be sold. There are still a few spots available for consignors if you register by July 27. Popular items have included gently used clothing and shoes in excellent condition, toys, video and computer games, youth room décor and accessories as well as beds, bookshelves, strollers and sporting equipment. This is an excellent way for the budget conscious to look forward to a day of back-to-school shopping that is easy on your wallet. Because of ongoing renovations in the Tel Hai community center there will NOT be an ATM available; be sure to come prepared appropriately for this CASH ONLY sale-a-bration!

To help keep your energy up, bake sale items will also be available for sale. Net proceeds will once again be donated to the Chester County Food Bank. In 2011 this resulted in a gift of $4500 supporting their efforts. The food bank, a non-profit organization, collects, grows, processes, stores and distributes food to more than 65 community organizations serving the hungry of Chester County. Past records show distribution of over 1.2 million pounds of food annually. They estimate that over 40,000 local household don’t have enough food. It is their goal that “No one should go hungry!”

Supporting the Tel Hai Outgrown Children’s Sale will benefit all shoppers’ “bottom line” and the Chester County Food Bank. Questions about the sale can be directed to Vicki Skiles, event coordinator, during normal business hours at 610-273-9333, extension 2124. Directions to the Tel Hai community can be found at www.telhai.org , Tel Hai’s website.
