Two drivers uninjured from Route 61 crash

The crash occurred at 5:45 p.m. on Aug. 9, as a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo driven by Orwigsburg resident Antonio Tarantino, 54, was stopped in the right lane of state Route 61, northbound, in Shoemakersville. Traveling behind Tarantino in the same lane was a 2008 Toyota Camry driven by Hamburg resident Phyllis Koch, 58.

While driving, Koch looked to her left, failing to see Tarantino’s vehicle in front of her; the two collided, her vehicle’s left front striking the right rear of Tarantino’s vehicle.
