Vagabond Acting Troupe, the resident theater company at the Corner Arts Center, Route 82 and Fairview Road in Honey Brook, will hold their annual free Fall Open Audition Workshops on Saturday, August 25 from 10 a.m. to noon and on Monday, August 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. Students interested in participating in the fall production workshops are encouraged to attend one of these free audition prep sessions to learn about the Vagabond Acting Troupe’s 2012 season programs, work on their existing monologues and songs, or just to observe other actors who are prepping work. The first musical theater workshop of the season begins classes September 1, 2012.
Students interested in participating should let the company know which date they will be attending the workshop by emailing the troupe at firstname.lastname@example.org. Students should have a short song (16bars) and/or a short monologue (one minute) that they are working on.
Students will be given an opportunity to present their piece during the free workshop where they will be given feedback to assist in improving their audition skills for actual production auditions at the theater and elsewhere.
This season the company will present several musical theater and classical theater workshops culminating in performance as well as Jr.Professional projects geared towards teens, and adult productions featuring local professional and semi-professional actors. Some projects on the season list include: Romeoand Juliet(adapted), Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr., High School Musical, The Snow Queen, The Jungle Book and more! Those interested in finding out about all workshops, classes and the popular Jr. Professional program can visit the company’s website at: www.vagabondactingtroupe.org for the most up to date information.
