Pa. senator’s son found dead of apparent overdose

LANCASTER — Ryan Brubaker, the 21-year-old son of PA state Sen. Michael Brubaker (R – 36) was found dead in his home early on the morning of Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, an apparent victim of a drug overdose.

According to TheReporterOnline.com (http://bit.ly/OgAnCy), Lancaster County Coroner Dr. Stephen Diamantoni has deemed the death an accident.

Ryan Brubaker had been facing a series of drug-related charges at the time of his death, including an incident involving an overdose death of another young man who police said had traded prescription drugs with Brubaker.

A toxicology report is forthcoming.
