Fleetwood Borough Police
Oct. 9 at 5:12 a.m., police report a motor vehicle collision on Kutztown Road in Fleetwood. Charles Sluzenski IV was on his way home from work heading north on Route 222 (Kutztown Road) when he fell asleep. His 2003 Chevy Silverado crossed over the center turn lane and the southbound lane, then struck and sheared a Verizon utility pole on the southbound shoulder. His vehicle continued and hit two parked cars, struck some mailboxes and a business sign. The Silverado came to a rest against a MetEd utility pole. Sluzenski was not injured in the crash and was wearing a seat belt.

Kutztown Borough Police Department

Recently the Kutztown Police Department has investigated several night time residential burglaries. In some of the burglaries the suspects entered through an unlocked door. Residents are reminded to lock all doors and windows at night and when not at home. Additionally, if you see or hear anything suspicious dial 911 to call the police.
