Tulpehocken wins tip-off tournament to get the winter season underway

The high school winter sports season got underway Friday and Saturday with local teams involved in five tip-off tournaments around the county.
The local teams were led by the Tulpehocken boys’ basketball team who defeated Lancaster County Day School and Susquenita in double overtime to win the Tulpehocken Tip-Off Tournament championship.
Meanwhile, the Hamburg boys’ team lost a pair of games in the Hamburg Tip-Off Tournament and finished in fourth place.
