Driver injured in Route 663 crash in New Hanover

An 82-year-old Lancaster man was injured Thursday morning when his pickup truck smashed through two telephone poles in the 3000 block of North Charlotte Street.

Jay Garber was driving his pickup south on North Charlotte Street, which is also Route 663, when he “left the road for an unknown reason” at 11:07 a.m., according to police.

Garber’s truck broke through two utility poles, shattering one and severing another on the west side of the road.
