Fleetwood girl, 6, signs autographs at Hamburg Strand

A 6-year-old Fleetwood girl had her own moment in the spotlight.

Rode'o Marie Hanson, 6, of Fleetwood, signed autographs at the screening of 'Lincoln' at The Hamburg Strand on Feb. 1.

Rode’o Marie Hanson attended the screening of the new movie “Lincoln” in New York, with director Steven Spielberg, the cast of the movie, and other celebrities in attendance, and then Rode’o attended a local screening of the movie.

On Feb. 1, she signed her own autographs on her own little red carpet at The Hamburg Strand, which offered a free showing to children that night. Overhead hanging from the marquee was a bright yellow banner announcing her appearance and welcomed her as a “local celebrity and rising star.”

When she was 4, Rode’o participated in a film project and has done professional modeling and photo shoots.

Rode’o met Spielberg at the NYC screening; she knows the director as “the man who made E.T.”

She has been rubbing elbows with celebrities on the red carpet since she was age 4. She even interviewed Kelly McGillis, the star of the movie “Top Gun,” asking McGillis how she ended up in movies and what Tom Cruise was like.

Rode’o said she likes when celebrities ask her questions about herself and what she liked and didn’t like about the movie.

Her favorite actress is Jennifer Tilly.

When she grows up, Rode’o said she wants to be “a doctor to animals.”
