Children at Berg’s Daycare in Lyons made their own Fasnachts Feb. 12.

After teaching the preschoolers the meaning of Fasnacht Day, the little chefs helped measure and mix the ingredients to make their own treats.

There was a great reward at the end; the children chose plain or powdered sugar.
