Widener University, one of the nation’s premier universities for civic engagement and applied leadership, in partnership with WCAU-TV NBC10, is proud to recognize Daniel Techman of Morgantown as a winner of the Widener University High School Leadership Awards.

In its second year, the program recognized 93 students from high schools throughout the Philadelphia region for their abilities to stand up for what is right, address a wrong and make a difference in their communities or schools.

Daniel Techman from Twin Valley High School has made a difference in the community by acting as a leader in the classroom and on the sports field. Not only does Techman maintain a high grade point average, which has placed him in the National Honors Society, he also volunteers at the Tel Hay Retirement Center and is an admired team leader on the football team.
