The Spring Carnival is one of the highlights of the school year at the Twin Valley Elementary Center. In fact, it’s so big that it takes an event coordinator and a committee of twelve to make it happen. This year’s carnival is scheduled for Saturday, March 16 and, from its opening at 10 a.m. until the doors close on a building full of exhausted volunteers at 3:00 p.m., is an event guaranteed to be packed with fun. The event is open to the community and is perfect for children who may be entering kindergarten and want to see the school.
The Spring Carnival features games and prizes for the kids, a silent auction, raffle baskets, great food, face painting and sand candy. Also putting in an appearance will be a live DJ as well as members of the Twin Valley Fire Department and the Caernarvon Police Department. No one need go hungry, either, with lots of food donated by local businesses.
“We’ll have hoagies, hotdogs, pizza, soft pretzels, nachos and cheese and a variety of drinks in the cafeteria,” says event chair Tasha Gallagher.
