The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation held a public plans display on March 20 to update business owners and residents about the proposed intersection improvements at intersections of Route 222 and Route 73 and Genesis Drive/Tamarack Boulevard in Maidencreek Township.

The project is being designed to improve traffic and safety at the intersections of Route 222 with Route 73 and Route 222 with Genesis Drive/Tamarack Boulevard. The project also calls for widening Route 222 between the Route 222 Outer Bypass and Genesis Drive/Tamarack Boulevard.

The plans were displayed Wednesday night at Fleetwood Area High School. Residents, business owners and motorists were encouraged to attend.

At the meeting, PennDOT and design consultant engineers presented plans, traffic impacts, and explained the design process of the proposed improvements to Route 222.
