Tel Hai offers drawing course
Tel Hai's Learning Enrichment Committee is happy to host Lin Sharp of Honey Brook for a six-week class offering instruction on how to draw. The class, which will be offered on Tel Hai's campus from March 3 through April 14, is limited in size but is open to the public. Enrollment will require pre-registration; the course charge is $30.
Lin Sharp, a retired high school art teacher from Idaho relocated with her husband to Chester County in 2003. She has been teaching drawing skills based on the book Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain since 1980 and has seen "astonishing results." Virtually 100% of her students learned to draw well and enjoyed their new-found skills. This approach is based upon special abilities of the right side of the brain—"the side that is right for drawing." Learning in this way the student will also learn to see differently. Exercises offer opportunities to draw realistically from the real world with a high degree of accuracy.
Materials are minimal and will be provided—pencils, art gum eraser, pencil sharpener, pen, and paper. The course will meet twice each week, Wednesday and Friday from 1:00 - 3:00 PM from March 3 through April 14. Persons interested in learning more or registering for the class should contact Judy Schweitzer, Wellness Coordinator at Tel Hai 61-273-933, ext. 2154. Directions to the campus can be found at www.telhai.org on the internet. The course fee will be payable to the instructor on the first day of class.
